“The Pharaoh” tells the story of my mother’s family. Her family name was “Bennani” and she used to tell me that the Bennanis have many “branches” and that our branch was named the “Pharaoh”.
So when I pasted those fabric pieces that belong to her, I thought about her story. So, I named my painting , “The Pharaoh”, as a tribute to her.
