Siena Gillann Porta is a multidisciplinary artist focusing on figuration, zen buddhist transformation and the martial arts. Porta’s work has been recently recognized on multiple platforms: Art in Conversation with Siena Gillann Porta, (YouTube series) produced by NAWA, reviewed by Liam Otero in White Hot Magazine (8/2025, Chelsea Exhibition Reviews). Her practice is also discussed in Eleanor Heartney’s essay, The Time of Our Lives, published in the NYSWA Centennial Catalog ,2025.

 A native New Yorker, she attended the Art Students League, School of Visual Arts and The New School, earning a BS in Studio Arts, CUNY Brooklyn Campus, studying with Lee Bonticou and Philip Pearlstein. Her MFA in Sculpture is from The Pennsylvania State University.

With solo and group exhibitions throughout the U.S. and abroad, selected group exhibitions include; The Charles B Sifton Gallery, Brooklyn NY, Ceres Gallery, The Interchurch Center-Treasure Room Gallery, The Hammond Museum, The Taller Boricua Gallery, Carter Burden Gallery, Highbridge Park – Manhattan, Rockaway National Seashore, Prince Street Gallery, Blue Mountain Gallery, Leonia Sculpture Park, The Hudson Valley Museum, Salem Art Works, Jacob Riis National Park, Governors Island, Notre Dame, Lehigh, Amherst, NJCU,  Fairleigh Dickinson and NYU.

Public collections include The City of Hveragerdi, Iceland, St. Philip R.C. Church, Norwalk CT, The Hafnarborg Cultural Museum and Fulbright Commission, Iceland. As a Scenic Artist with USA Local 829 Porta painted and sculpted work for The Metropolitan Opera, Broadway and Feature films. Grants and residencies include: NYFA, USIA, NYSCA, Brisons Veor, Cornwall, England and Varmahlid Haus, Iceland.
