Ilse Schreiber-Noll, Towards The Sun I
Mixed media and collage on canvas, 25 x 60 inches, New York
“Towards The Sun I” belongs to a series of paintings and Artist books a work in progress that depict the importance of the sun as symbol of Hope, light and positivity and a place we can move to out of the shadows of despair to warm our hearts and souls.
The sun, our live giving force that stands for clarity, power energy, hope and positivity is needed for all living creatures to survive. But human interference with Nature (such as: cutting down forests and farming live stocks, burning fossil fuels) has led to the increase of greenhouse gas concentration in the atmosphere causing the rise in temperatures and with this the sun is on the way to become an irritation.
