This work is part of a large series of digital collages created during the Pandemic Year of 2020. For each work in the series, I found the portrait of a woman, painted some time between the 15th and 20th centuries. Then, I transformed this woman into a 20th century version of herself. That is to say, I transformed a passive woman into an active one! The series, as a whole, demonstrates how much women can accomplish, when society affords them the opportunities to “be all that they can be.”
