I’m not good with recognizing faces; I have a hard time matching faces to people. But I draw these without references- faces from my imagination or my subconscious. Their whole existence is only in their visible aspect. Seeing them is interchangeable with knowing them. They’re different people but they’re self portraits too–images of faces of people outside myself refracted through my own limited idea of their internal worlds.
