Leslie Connito is a New York artist who works in various media, investigating concepts of time, memory, disintegration, permanence, and impermanence. Her oil paintings reflect everyday life and often include snippets of culture, politics, history, music, art history, and icons, which are painted into the images in layers. She uses symbols as a kind of narrative in the oil paintings, mixed media work, encaustics, and installations. 

Leslie’s photography is an extension of the moments in time she experiences and are usually based on the haunting beauty in nature, the human body, motion, and the impermanence of life.
