Bob Gould

Bob Gould is an underwater and land photographer. His true passions have been photography and music since childhood. As an avid adventurer, Bob has extensively traveled the globe and shot underwater photography in over 2,000 dives to capture extraordinary marine life.

He also has photographed wildlife, cities, and artists in many formats throughout North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia and the Pacific Islands. Over the past 35 years, his underwater photography has depicted healthy reefs, oceans and landscapes that display the beauty and biodiversity of our planet, as well as the ongoing threats to such ecosystems. Bob’s work has been exhibited in multiple group shows and his input to the collaborative ‘Collateral Damages Below’ project with Christine Knowlton has been and continues to be an engaging way to spread awareness of the critical issue of worldwide coral reef degradation related to climate change and other factors. Bob has earned a BA degree from Connecticut College and multiple advanced degrees from Columbia University in Environmental Sciences/Public Health. He is retired from the NYC Department of Environmental Protection and his specialties were drinking water quality, environmental compliance and facilities remediation. Bob previously worked as a consultant for private sector companies, nonprofits and at Columbia University on a grant-supported environmental economics project.
