I’ve always been an experimental artist working in non-traditional materials. My artwork perpetually lives in the realm of watery imagery. I bounce back and forth between drawing, painting, sculpture and installation. Working with plexiglass and various resins allows light to pass through my panels, casting light and shadow patterns which adds a 3-dimensionality to the work. My “Installation Art” practice is always made from donated or rescued plexiglass. The aim of my installation works are to try to mimic the movement of water with reclaimed materials, thereby reducing my artistic carbon footprint and creating beauty out of materials once deemed waste and a hazard to our oceans ecosystem.
I have exhibit extensively across the US and internationally including Berlin, Cologne, Witten and Freiburg Germany, Istanbul and in the American Embassy in Ankara Turkey, Cape Town, Auckland, and the Tabernacle MOMA Machynlleth Wales. Most recently I exhibited in Taipei in December of 2022 and with George Billis Gallery and CopeNYC in 2023.
I also enjoy the behind the scenes machinations that bring exhibitions together. I’m a former Director at Skylight Gallery NYC, BAU Gallery and The Beacon Room. Currently, I serve on the board for New England Sculptors Association, and the Curatorial Advisory Group for ECoCA in New Haven, and on the Silvermine Guild of Artists exhibitions committee in New Canaan, CT.
I lived in The Hudson Valley for many years. Seeking new adventures, in 2020 I built a new studio along the Connecticut Sound which inspires my artworks.
